Tanzania is a safari paradise with stunning scenery, abundant wildlife, and diverse cultures. This tour will take you to Serengeti, a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to various wildlife, including lions, cheetahs and at certain times of the year, the wildebeest migration and Ngorongoro Crater where you can enjoy its blue-green vistas and unparalleled concentration of wildlife.

Day 1 – Arusha – Serengeti National Park Central

After breakfast at your accommodation, you will be driven to Central Serengeti. With your packed lunch boxed maximize the chances of viewing more wildlife by having en route game viewing while heading to the park. Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park. A UNESCO World Heritage site and recently proclaimed the 7th wonder of the world, Serengeti is famed for its annual migration where some six million hooves pound the open plains. Serengeti offers an exotic game-viewing experience in the whole of Africa giving you an up-close look of the animals you’ve only seen in National Geographic: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala, and Grant’s gazelle.

Accommodation: Acacia Central Camp

Day 2 – Serengeti Central

Today you will have a full-day game viewing in central Serengeti. Serengeti National Park is known for its healthy population of resident wildlife, particularly the “big five”, named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters. Evening drive back to the camp for evening leisure and overnight.

THE BIG FIVE “5”

Lion: the Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa due in part to the abundance of prey species. More than 3,000 lions live in this ecosystem. African

Leopard: these reclusive predators are commonly seen in the Seronera region but are present throughout the national park with a population of around 1,000.

African Elephant: the herds are recovering from population lows in the 1980s caused by poaching and are largely located in the northern regions of the park.

African Buffalo: considered by many to be the most dangerous of the big five, reportedly causing the most hunter deaths, with wounded animals reported to ambush and attack pursuers.

Rhinoceros: this may refer to either black or white rhinoceros. Among Big Five game hunters, the black rhinoceros is preferred, although it is now critically endangered.

Accommodation: Acacia Central Camp

Day 3 – Serengeti National Park – Arusha City / Kilimanjaro International Airport

After an early breakfast, we’ll depart for a morning game viewing in Serengeti, then later, drive to Arusha city.
