Explore Uganda’s largest National Park’s untamed beauty and a thrilling Rhino tracking experience at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Murchison Falls National Park is located in the northwestern part of Uganda and covers an area of 3840 square kilometers. It is known for having the most powerful waterfall in the world. You will have a chance to view all the big five animals on this captivating journey.
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, a professional guide from Best of Uganda Safaris will pick you up from your preferred hotel in Kampala/Entebbe. Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. You will have a stopover for Rhino tracking at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will have Rhino tracking on foot, guided by trained rangers. This unique experience allows you to get close to the endangered rhinos in their natural habitat. Have lunch and continue with the journey to the park. Check into your lodge and rest as you prepare for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls NP
Following an early morning breakfast, you will embark on a game drive in the park where you will get a chance to witness the beauty of Murchison Falls National Park’s wildlife including elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and numerous antelope species. Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, embark on a boat cruise along the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls where you will spot hippos, crocodiles, and a wide array of bird species. The boat trip offers spectacular views of the falls. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Visit to the top of the falls and sundowner
After breakfast, visit the top of Murchison Falls for a breathtaking view where the Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge, creating a powerful and spectacular waterfall. Return to the lodge for a well-prepared lunch and rest as you prepare for a beautiful sundowner experience in the evening.
The sundowner experience will be a perfect way to conclude a day of wildlife adventures with a relaxing and scenic view as the sun sets over the African landscape. You will spot animals making their way to water sources or hear the sounds of the evening wildlife as you enjoy refreshments and watch the sunset over the Nile River or the vast savannah, casting a golden glow over the landscape. After that memorable experience, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer to Kampala / Entebbe International Airport
After breakfast, embark on a journey back to Kampala/Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight or choose to stay at your preferred hotel. Along the way, you may have multiple stopovers for convenience, refreshments or to buy souvenirs/crafts for memories. Accommodation on this day will be arranged at an extra cost.
